What is Botched Ink?

Botched Ink is a gentle, yet concentrated hypertonic saline solution used to remove tattoos and permanent makeup from your skin. It does this by drying out the area to gently lift and remove unwanted pigments – all while assisting the skin’s natural healing process. This form of permanent makeup removal is far gentler than laser tattoo removal (feeling just a slight stinging sensation) and has the potential to offer fantastic results.

What can you fix with Botched Ink?
There are a variety of scenarios that Botched Ink may be able to fix. Below are just a few examples of what the procedure can achieve.
The Botched Ink saline removal solution can
-
Remove pigment that has been misplaced or lasted too long
-
Lighten previous permanent makeup in order to add new microblading hair stroke brows
-
Lift pigment colour from over saturated or dark brows

What are the benefits of Botched Ink for tattoo removal?
1. It is virtually pain-free
Firstly, the area being removed is numbed beforehand to help make the process as comfortable as possible. Secondly, the pH of the Botched Ink Solution closely resembles normal, healthy skin. Thus, the removal itself is gentle and kind to the skin, resulting in a mild sting that disappears quickly. Finally, the formula includes Aloe Vera, which not only helps the solution to soak in but also soothes the skin.
2. It acts quickly
After being treated with Botched Ink, the skin starts to dry out within a few hours and begins forming a thin scab. This minimises the risk of inflammation, infection and the associated risk of scarring.
3. Tattoos can look instantly better - Even during healing
Many clients are concerned about how their brows will look during the healing process. Don’t worry, you won’t get any funny looks after having your treatment as when using Botched Ink, the treated area usually looks better. Unwanted red, grey, blue or orange brows will lift and look shades of brown during the healing process, so it is likely that you will be complimented on your new eyebrows for a few days!
4. Easy Aftercare
When the skin has fully dried, you can shower normally and begin to use the prescribed aftercare serum. This is usually after 48 hours and makes the scabbing and healing process more pleasant.

How long does Botched Ink Removal take?

Appointments usually take between 45-60 minutes, though your
first appointment will be a little longer as a full consultation is required.
It is important to remember that tattoo removal is a process and not
something that can be done in a single session alone. It is, therefore,
worth mentally and financially committing to a course of 3 treatments,
allowing us to assess how easily the pigment is lifting from the skin. This
does not necessarily mean that the pigment will be gone after 3 sessions
but will allow us to assess the area more thoroughly to see if further sessions
will be required.

What do clients usually see?

Research has shown that most clients see improvements after 2 or 3 sessions. Results, however, vary depending on how deep the pigment is sat in the skin. Old tattoos, or those that have been touched up a number of times are likely to take longer to remove than those which have been freshly done.
It is also important to understand that the pigment can look darker during the healing process before it gets lighter. This is because, the closer the pigment moves to the skin, the darker it will appear. The Botched Ink solution will lift the pigment up to the surface of the skin, which in turn, will make it easier to remove any unwanted pigment in further sessions.

With regards to how long your removal journey will take, you will need to think about what you are hoping to achieve. For some people, the goal is complete removal whilst others are looking for the area to be lightened so that further work can be carried out. Complete removal will naturally take a little longer but during the removal process we are able to assess:
-
How quickly the skin responds to the pigment removal
-
How deep the pigment is sitting in the skin
-
How saturated the area is (not only with pigment but also with skin staining)
In most cases, the fresher the tattoo, the easier it will be to remove.
